Obama’s Lowlights (9/6/12)

Recession - From June 2009 to June 2012, inflation-adjusted median household income fell 4.8 percent, to $50,964, according to a report by Sentier Research, a firm headed by two former Census Bureau officials. Incomes have dropped more since the beginning of the recovery than they did during the recession itself, when they declined 2.6 percent, according to the report, which analyzed data from the Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey.

Coal - Germany opened one of the largest coal-fired power plants in the world last week. Many environmentalists believe this is a step backwards for a nation so involved in promoting green energy.

No Easy Deal – The new book written by a member of Navy Seal Team 6 that killed Osama Bin Laden could have him facing criminal prosecution.

Campaign Ad - One of the women in the Obama campaign's new video of Republicans supporting the president because of GOP positions on women's rights appears not to be a Republican at all. Maria Ciano who is featured in the web video has been a registered Democrat since October 2006 according to voter registration records.

Investing – New reports have surfaced showing that the Obama’s have financially benefitted from investing in private equity and foreign investments.

Box Office – The movie “2016 Obama’s America” was third in gross revenues this past week.

Chris Matthews – The liberal MSNBC host lost control in an interview with RNC chair Reince Priebus this past week calling him “garbage” and a “racist”.

Glamour Magazine - Editor in chief Cindi Leive flew to Portland, Ore., last month to sit down with the President for an interview that will appear in the magazine’s November issue.

Facebook – A “Kill Mitt Romney” site was up for 17 days before being disabled and had 27 people “like” the page.

Unmanned Vehicle University - The world’s first university dedicated solely to training drone pilots is up and running.

TSA - The Transportation Security Administration says it has moved to fire six bag-screeners at Logan International Airport in Boston who performed inadequate luggage checks because they were distracted by their cellphones or other electronic devices.

Hurricane Issac – Liberal Hollywood stars such as Ellen Barkin and Samuel Jackson wished Hurricane Issac would have destroyed the Republican National Convention.

Consumer - U.S. consumer confidence unexpectedly weakened in August to its lowest in nine months as Americans turned more pessimistic about the short-term outlook, according to a private sector report released on Tuesday. The Conference Board, an industry group, said its index of consumer attitudes fell to 60.6 from a downwardly revised 65.4 the month before. Economists had expected an increase to 66, according to a Reuters poll.

  1. I watched the Chris Matthews – Reince Priebus interview on UTube and I was reminded of what bullies the liberals always are. Then I read further about the “Kill Mitt Romney” site on Facebook and it’s almost laughable how these people are all the same.

  2. Yes, the civil and tolerant left.
